The 2017 BMW 2 Series is for sale in San Francisco at your BMW headquarters! BMW of San Francisco has the best selection of the popular 2 Series.
There's quite a bit of ground to cover with a 2017 BMW 2 Series Overview, considering the small car is packed with incredible value. Despite its size, it's amazingly quick and has razor-sharp handling, making for a far more engaging driving experience than competitors. At the same time, the powertrain has been designed for efficiency, and the chassis makes for a comfortable ride. Quite a few features come standard.
Coupe and convertible versions are available for the 2 Series. The same four different trim levels are offered for each format: 230i, 230i xDrive, M240i and M240i xDrive.
For the base BMW 230i, a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline four-cylinder engine supplies 248 horsepower. While that's certainly enough for quick bursts of speed in the city and solid passing ability on the highway, the second engine will blow you away.
M240i models use a 3.0-liter M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, which is rated at 335 horsepower. Both engines are mated to an advanced 8-speed automatic transmission, which can be controlled by the driver through paddle shifters mounted conveniently to the steering wheel. Rear-wheel is standard, but xDrive models come with all-wheel drive.
BMWs are known for their excellent road-holding abilities, including the 2017 2 Series. The 230i features a double-pivot spring and strut-type front suspension made of aluminum, plus a five-link fully independent rear suspension for unrivaled control and comfort. M240i models up the ante more with special M Sport brakes and variable sport steering.
All versions of the 2017 BMW 2 Series come with four-wheel antilock brakes, a head protection system for front and rear seats, LATCH anchor points, LED daytime running lights and a tire pressure monitor. BMW Assist eCall is also standard across the board, including an SOS button drivers can use to call for help after an accident. Onboard impact sensors detect a crash, activating a battery safety terminal disconnect that cuts off power to the alternator, fuel pump and starter, plus turns on the hazard lights and unlocks the doors to help with rescue efforts. All four trim levels are outfitted with front, front-side and two knee airbags.
The 230i trims comes with SensaTec upholstery, an Anthracite headliner, high-gloss black interior trim, Oxide Silver accents and manually-adjustable sport front seats. The sound system includes a CD player, HD radio, 7 speakers, a 205-watt digital amplifier and wiring for SiriusXM satellite radio. Drivers benefit from dynamic cruise control, a rear window defroster and a 6.5-inch iDrive infotainment screen.
Quite a few additional luxuries are loaded into the M240i trims. The front seats gain 10-way power adjustments, including power lumbar support, while the interior features aluminum hexagon trim, plus Estoril Blue highlights. SiriusXM satellite radio with a 1-year subscription is included with the sound system. An automatic-dimming rearview mirror, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers are part of the standard offering. Another big difference is a luxurious 2-way power glass moonroof, plus an interior sunshade. An Advanced Vehicle & Key Memory setup stores settings for the different keys, so drivers don't need to do anything when they climb in the car.
